Personal Issue...Terri Schiavo

The only thing I can say is 'it's personal'. With so much coverage and pundits telling us who's right or who's wrong, I just can't see where any of us have the knowledge to say who is right.
I can see the husband has the right to make the decision for her, he says it was her wish. He presents his view and we hear his view of the facts.
I can see the parents view of the issue. She's their daughter. They conceived her and brought her into this world. If the husband doesn't want to continue supporting her, why not let her parents?
Who has more love for her?
Definitely not Congress. Now how do we determine intent? Once the politicians get into the fray, we all potentially lose rights. Now it becomes a Federal issue. The laws created by this case will probably have a far reaching impact on all of us in the future.
I recommend everyone have a living will and an estate will. Record what you want done when you can no longer walk this green earth. Don't trust in what you expect others to do for you. Their hands may be tied, laws may change (invariably) and family or friends may not be able
to do what they all know you wanted.
As for me, I think it is a personal issue. I don't want the burden to fall to others to handle my affairs. They shouldn't have to.
No winners in this one.
